In our company, we pay a lot of attention to providing current and future customers with the best distribution model – in a sense, a “tailor-made” solution for the realization of customer product transportation. We are talking, on the one hand, about high quality and on-time delivery, which in our case is a competitive tool and a factor that attracts our customers, but also about optimizing distribution costs within the country. Ensuring DPD standards, better timeliness than our competitors while keeping costs in the so-called “cost”. rigor, which in these times of unpredictable prices, lack of resource availability and international political turmoil, takes on an entirely different dimension and scale of challenge.
Aiming to optimize transportation costs, we optimize the number of cars, the form of financing, handling, filling. Even the choice of brand, model and “armament,” i.e. key parameters, is crucial. But once you’ve gone through all these elements, the key to success becomes aggregating shipments on “common routes” to increase the means of transportation and the number of shipments per kilometer traveled, and thus lower the transportation cost per shipment.
And so we come to a whole network of combined transports, a map of the country with transshipment points “covering” given regions and a very dense network of local routes through which we deliver shipments to the customer’s door. Let’s not forget that at every stage of the transport and handling of goods, the DPD standard must remain, with the required temperature and full monitoring of conditions.
In conclusion, I am pleased to commend the entire Transport, Investment and Quality team for opening the tenth transshipment point in Bydgoszcz, Poland, to full DPD standards. The opening of the loading bay in Bydgoszcz will allow us not only to optimize costs in this region, but also to expand our offerings for new orders and shipments in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region.
